Chassity TS 6 w/Dongwoon

Ah, the Friday before the holiday weekend! πΊπΈπ
It was interesting to observe Dongwoon’s learning process. He is an avid note-taker! I decided to remerchandise the term “homework” and rename using the word “fieldwork exercises”. I believe by doing so, it will alleviate the stressors and anxieties associated with these assignments bidirectionally, for both the student and teacher. π
Now, I must admit, this was part of a behavioral experiment to see if Dongwoon would modify his behavior…which was to engage in more English speaking opportunities outside of our sessions.
π The results: Not as effective on the first run, but I am hopeful that I will have more positive results to report from Session 6 with Dongwoon. He did admit that he had not engaged in English speaking conversations outside the class. Nevertheless, he was still excited to do so! Further, I did reemphasize the importance of the “fieldwork exercises” as they will “fine tune” (idiom plug) his ESL journey.
Dongwoon provided great feedback during the session and is eager to meet on the holiday. Holiday!? What holiday!? ππ
